Pennsylvania Farmhouse

PA Farmhouse

This 4400 square foot stone farmhouse contains a host of traditional features that are characteristic of this period home. Its cedar roof, pole gutters, operating wooden shutters, magnificent stone work with deep, raked joints, beaded cedar siding add a touch of old Pennsylvania to this truly majestic home. Its charming dormer windows are made with cedar side boards, a traditional shed dormer complete the elevation. Inside, there's plank oak flooring, a circular staircase built on site, authentic Colonial wainscoting with chairrail, an oak paneled library with an oak custom built-in, gourmet kitchen with marble countertops and a vaulted family room that houses a floor to ceiling fieldstone fireplace, whose mantel was made from a Chester Co. barn beam.

Williamsburg Colonial

Here's a custom built 3800 sq. foot home constructed at Centerville Meadows in Delaware. We built it out of handmade brick using a traditional grapevine joint. The authentic divided lite windows (wood muntins), special millwork window sills and the brick "jack" arches make the windows a focal point for the exterior. In addition to the dentil molding along the front and the custom raised panel entrance doorway, all the cedar siding is beaded; typical of all Wright-built homes. Inside, we custom designed the fireplace mantels in both the living room and the dining room, which we built on site. We put in 5/4 (extra thick) interior casings, two piece 6 inch crown moldings. Then, there's the custom oak staircase which we also built on site. There's a 6 inch baseboard, standard for homes like this, two custom built-ins in the living room and oak flooring through out.

French Country

This charming home built by Charter Oak Homes in Willistown, PA is perfect for the "empty nest" adult couple. It offers tremendous living space for entertaining and cooking, yet it occupies only 3400 square feet total. It has three spacious bedrooms, each with its own private bath. Traditional design features include authentic divided lite windows, beaded cedar siding, a cedar roof, operating wood shutters, and a cedar deck in back adjacent to the swimming pool that just feels right. Interior features include custom wainscoting in the dining room, a family room built-in, random width oak plank flooring, brick foyer using reclaimed brick from "Olde Philadelphia", custom oak staircase, a library off the foyer with cherry wood custom built-in cabinets and custom cherry wainscoting, even a chairrail with matching two piece 6 inch crown moldings. The living room features a Pennsylvania black slate fireplace surround with a floor to ceiling raised panel mantel. It is indeed a very special home.
